48 hours can change your life
It's been months and while there might be loads to say or write or scream or whisper or even SING about, I'm exhausted. My body is failing me. Seriously, literally, in all the ways it can. I've been reduced to becoming a veggie/pescaterian and while it's not an enormous struggle, it reminds me daily that I cannot simply eat what I want anymore, which is essentially meaning I CANNOT LIVE HOW I WANT.
Next weekend my brother is getting sworn in as a judge so I'm flying to Oakland to witness this historic event, and at the same time, my cousin offered me Clippers v Warriors tickets. FML. There's no winning on this bench, folks.
So to console myself about my ill health and my frustrated libido and lifestyle, I've gone out purchasing -- new speakers, no stereo cabinet, new shoes, socks, facial, hair dyed, threaded eyebrows. But all I really want is a new keyboard. REALLY WANT. For all that I could have purchased it. Crap. In the meantime, my house and my bedroom look as if several tornadoes have come and gone, and the dishes are officially growing a new strain of mold. All good things.
I worked 48 hours in 4 days this week. For more than 3 months, I've been roped into doing a job that I was not hired for so my actual real job has been languishing in the corner. Nothing like shaking up your physical, professional and financial foundation to bring joy and stress to your life in abundance. And this is why when I went until 3 today without food in shoes that were too big in a mall I can't stand I almost had a meltdown.
But right now... right this very second... my beautiful, gifted, kind-hearted, loving child is singing "Memories" from Cats over and over. It's so lovely and in the end how can you not feel love and light?
In her honor, I'm posting 30 films produced by Universal Studios - excluding horror, thriller and classic. That list comes later. No order here, just how I found them. This has no relevance to anything posted on this blog entry, and it doesn't have to. My world, my rules. See how it works? Go get 'em. Go get everything.
